Your first step is to check your profile for accuracy!
When you first log on, you will be looking at your DASHBOARD. If you look on the left side of your screen, you'll see "DASHBOARD" is highlighted in orange while the remaining menu titles are not.
Your screen might feature a large gray box that says "Hey Your Name Here!" - this is called a snapshot, and it may be handy later. For now, CLICK the "X" in the top right-hand corner of the snapshot to close it. (If your screen doesn't show this, no worries)
Next, go to the top right-hand corner of your dashboard where you see a circle that is blue and orange with your initials in it. CLICK the down arrow and you'll see a menu of options - CHOOSE "Edit Profile". THIS IS THE PAGE YOU NEED TO FOCUS ON.
Please take some time to review all of the information that you are providing on this page. Anywhere that you see a red asterisk * it means that the information is required, including the three questions just below your Date of Birth.
Be sure to hit the blue bar that reads "UPDATE BASIC INFORMATION" to save your changes before moving on to another area of the site or logging off!
Once you have verified that your profile contains all of the required details, go back to the top of the page where you see Edit Profile under the photo. You'll see that there are several other options for pages you can check out, such as "Track Hours" and "Volunteer Schedule". Please go to "Qualifications".
Look under the heading Incomplete Qualifications for a question that says, "Have you successfully logged into your Get Connected user profile and made sure that it features your Date of Birth and Mobile (phone number)?" Type the reply "yes" and hit the blue button that says SUMBIT QUALIFICATIONS. This will send me a message that you are waiting to have your qualification accepted - once I verify your profile info and approve the READY! qualification, you'll be able to see your first mandatory training session called "Onboarding for New Volunteers" listed under your available Opportunities (jobs).
After you have verified your profile information and qualifications, you may want to go back to your DASHBOARD and look for a link to "Edit your skills" shown underneath the heading Suggested Opportunities. This step is not mandatory but it will help you! By adding a list of personalized skills and causes, the software will be able to SUGGEST jobs for you that match your interests.
